Our passion and lifeblood is our agents.  Their success is our success and to that end, our compensation structure is not fee dependent.  There are no desk fees, franchise fees, IT fees, advertising fees, broker review fees, coffee fees or website fees.  We do not get paid until our agents get paid and that makes their success our priority.

When an agent first joins us, we set them up with business cards, personalized directional signs and sign riders, company e-mail, a page on the company website and announcements at our expense so that they can hit the ground running as a Hana Associate.  They get marketing and listing support to help grow their businesses and to present the best listings in the market.  They get the support of a broker who manages full time and is available to the agents on evenings and weekends, full time office staff, a property manager and a dynamic team environment where the broker and agents meet once a week just to keep each other accountable and motivated.

For our newly licensed Associates, we have a unique, comprehensive PAID training program.  Associates who are accepted into our Mentor Protégé Program receive a monthly salary and paid health, vision and dental coverage for 1-4 months.  However, the greatest asset of this program is the training, a comprehensive 12 week training program that starts from the basics of laying the foundation of your business to developing business to working with clients.  For more information, please visit our site at www.hanarealtors.com/careers.

Our broker is also a Certified Mentor with Buffini and Company, one of the most well-regarded coaching companies in the real estate industry.  This enables us to offer their Peak Producers program, a highly successful training program that teaches real estate professionals how to build a business 100% by referral.  Peak Producers have access to Buffini’s CRM program and marketing materials during their participation in the program.

Our team at Hana Associates is led by our Principal Broker, Ann Yanagihara, who has distinguished herself with over 14 years in real estate in the Virginia, DC and Maryland area.  In addition to her expertise in the real estate business, she is also a licensed attorney in Virginia and Maryland.  Energy, vitality, caring, competence and diligence have been hallmarks of her leadership and management culture and building a company on the value that its wealth is rooted in the success and forward motion of its family members is of vital importance to her and all of the Hana family.

Brenda has lived in Northern Virginia for 10 years, and started her career in 2007.  With a husband in the construction business, the couple originally explored personal investment opportunities in Real Estate through fixer-upper acquisitions in the red-hot market.  While learning the trade, Brenda realized she enjoyed showing homes to buyers and providing them with access to their dream home.  As a result of that experience she decided to make Real Estate her full-time career and has truly adored the process of helping others on a daily basis.

Her experience of relocating her family multiple times with her husband’s career in the construction industry allowed Brenda to gain a unique perspective in relation to clients in the process of relocating.  She understands what you are going through—both the anxiety and excitement—and she takes pride in helping you through this life transition.

Real estate is a relationship-based business, and Brenda strives to create client relationships built on trust and confidence.  Her ultimate goal: a business built entirely upon referrals from clients who are completely satisfied with the professional and caring service they received.

Brenda is a graduate of Purdue University.  She is married to her husband Tim, and has 3 children.  Alexis, who has followed in her footsteps as a Realtor; Brent, who with wife Tasha has provided the gift of a wonderful granddaughter in five-year old Addison Grace; and Geoffry, currently a student at the University of Mary Washington.  Brenda has been a committee member for the local Boy Scout Troop, is an Active member of Homes for Heroes, and is a current member of the National Association of Professional Women.
