As the daughter of a real estate agent I guess you could say I have been in the business all my life. Long before I became an agent I ate dinner on the road between showings, listened to one end of a transaction over the phone, and learned to know where the “hot spots” in the area were located. Along with learning about all of the must do’s of real estate I also learned to love the excitement and rush of the business.

Since becoming a real estate agent in 2003, I have put into practice the skills and techniques I was taught as I grew up and continue to incorporate new ideas and technologies that our ever growing market requires. Keeping in mind that I learned along the way, I am excited to be sharing some of my expertise with others.

Awards I have garnered since launching my career are as follows:

I have been in the real estate business for over 30 years either as a Realtor or Associate Broker.  During this time, I have seen the market change many many times.  The secret for staying in this business is to be able to adapt to those changes and remain positive.  Being a real estate agent not only gives you satisifaction for doing a job well done but it also allows you to make new friends for life.  Those friends become like family and will support you in any of your personal or business decisions.

There are so many advantages to working with an experienced agent who truly cares about their clients.  Every client deserves the best possible service.  Working with The Ward Team, which consists of my daughter Natalie and son Charlie, lets us work together making sure we are doing everything we can to make our client’s dream of owning a home come true.  The Ward Team also works together to market property and reach every corner to find buyers for our listed properties.  We like to do the “different” kind of advertising that people notice, either marketing ourselves or our listings.  You won’t find a more dedicated team than The Ward Team.

During the 30 + year span of my real estate career, I have become not only a Managing Broker, but also completed my CRS Designation. I have served as secretary for our local real estate board and a member of several committees.  I have attended hundreds of betterment classes to stay on top of my real estate profession and attended serveral VAR conventions.  Always ready to better myself and my education, I understand that knowledge is a key to a successful career in the real estate business.

I have just been selected to be on the board of directors for the Valley Mission, which I am so excited to be a part of.  Giving back to your community is a great way to meet others who share the same ideas that you have.  I am very active in my Church and like to help with fund raisers and activites to invite others to participate.

Old Dominion Realty was founded in 1962 by my father, Clyde Pugh, as a general real estate sales and residential construction business.  The original office was located in Bridgewater, Virginia, and was relocated to 2340 South Main Street, Harrisonburg, VA in 1972 where the corporate office remains today.  Currently, the company maintains a large portion of the western Virginia and eastern West Virginia real estate market with 6 offices and over 100 agents and staff.

Current offices include Harrisonburg, VA (Corporate Office), Crossroads Plaza at the corner of Route 33 East and Keezletown Road in Penn Laird, VA, Broadway Office located in Broadway Business Plaza, Augusta County office in Fishersville, VA, and two West Virginia branch locations in Franklin and Moorefield.

ODR services include sales, development, appraisal, relocation, property management, auction, mortgage, title, and community association management.

In January 2013, I received the honor of the Harrisonburg Rockingham Chamber of Commerce Business Person of the Year.
